Preserving Your Artisan Leather Piece
1. Daily Cleaning
- Gently dust with a soft dry cloth or horsehair brush.
- For light stains, dab with a slightly damp (neutral pH) cotton cloth. Avoid scrubbing.
- Never use alcohol or chemical cleaners.
2. Conditioning
- Apply a thin layer of natural leather conditioner (e.g., mink oil) every 3-6 months. Massage in circular motions with fingertips.
- Use colorless conditioner for dark leather; test on hidden areas for light-colored pieces.
3. Usage Tips
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure or heat sources to prevent cracking/fading.
- If wet, blot immediately and air-dry naturally before conditioning.
4. Storage
- Store in breathable cotton dust bags away from humidity.
- Avoid heavy stacking or folding to maintain shape.
- Clean and condition before long-term storage.
